In 1989ROMI, a third generation of
that family, having grown up watching and learning from his Mom, Eva Granados Brosas's Cooking, decided that it was his calling to revive
the Family's History and Tradition
for Excelent Cooking... and so TOPS the 
Restaurant was born.
Located in the Old Agrix Building in Los Banos Laguna, the place was an instant hit, with its signature menus. 
Its customers were a mix of students, locals and foreigners working in IRRI who were glad to
have so many varied choices in food selection.
Our International Food has been said to be
a sweet mix of Authentic and Original Taste
and as such the IRRI foreign community have 
been regulars.
We were also the place to bring in guests
to the area and have been patronized by
local and national politicians as well as 
Plus we also began catering for company
christmas parties in the different Economic 
and Industrial Zones

After Our service in Lyceum, with the catering
side of the business beginning to steamroll, now
with his sister AMI at the LEAD and Brother in law BERT handling General Operations, ROMI now focuses on the Culinary aspect, Thus strenghtening
the business. We thus decided to now concentrate in Food Catering and Events Planning 
and as such have now invested in the finest equipment  and arrangements... that we are now considered among the BEST  in LAGUNA and Now Expanding Operations to include CAVITE, BATANGAS and METRO MANILA

serve you in all your Special occasions... 
that we'll become a regular part of your 
family as well.
Tops has its roots in Cavite City from the
Granados Ilano family, whose expertise in cooking is well known not only to the locals but also by the G.I.'s of then Sangley Point who patronized their Family Restaurant along the Main Street.  
In time, the Family moved on to other ventures
but their LOVE and BOLDNESS in cooking not only Local Fare like Family Specialty KARE-KARE and International Dishes but also Original Recipes has been handed on to generations.
It was also home to many parties, a favorite hangout of students, with its Art Deco meets
Diner Look, it was a natural setting for Induction Balls, Debuts, Sponsored Discos
and Conferences.
Our Menu is constantly Evolving and Developing until we
now have The Most Number of Menu Selections from the East, West, Local and Our Very Own creations.   We do this not only because of our families love for culinary adventure but also to offer new food experiences to our Clients.


In 1996, we ventured into the Canteen Concessionaire Business and have served
from 1996 - 1999
1997 - 2000 and finally LYCEUM INSTITUTE
OF TECHNOLOGY in Calamba from 2000 - 2003

Finally, Why the name TOPS?
It was Taken from a Beatles Interview, asked where they where going
they answered "To the Top! to the very TOP!"
